Welcome to the Partnerships for America Blog

Here, we’ll share updates, events, program highlights and a glimpse into the people who make our work both possible and meaningful, from our Board and staff, to our generous donors and program recipients.

It’s been a busy year for us at The Partnerships for America, and for our programs – Cuddle Me Diaper Bank, Trailblazers, Future Leaders, Prepare for School Success, and Healthy Child – all of which exist to provide assistance to children at critical developmental stages of their lives.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who have generously supported our efforts through volunteering, fundraising, donations, and outreach. Your support has made a substantial difference in the lives of countless children and families. There is no greater gift!

During the holidays, our staff will be taking a well-deserved break to celebrate with their families and loved ones. Our offices will be closed December 20, 2014 through January 4, 2015. We will resume our regular hours on Monday, January 5.

Wishing you a safe and happy holiday!

Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles, high-seas pirates, Scooby Doo and The Mystery Machine, orange-clad prisoners, and even Spiderman himself turned out on October 30 for the 7th Annual Bed Races, an event sponsored by Rutgers University Programming Association as part of Rutgers Homecoming celebration in Brunswick, NJ. Proceeds of the event were donated to the Cuddle Me Diaper Bank.

To participate, teams of four choose a theme, decorate their beds, dress up in costume, and don bicycle crash helmets before racing down a stretch of College Avenue to the whoops and cheers (and jeers) of friends, families, roommates, and professors. It’s fun for sure, but if you think it’s easy, think again! (Ever try to steer a fully loaded shopping cart at high speed around a corner?) Here’s a glimpse of some of the contestant’s in last year’s race.
